We had a cracking weekend at the St Ives food festival, as you can see the sun was shining. Thank you to all those who organised the event, it was a great success.
Artisan Cheese Awards, Melton Mowbray
We are very pleased to receive awards again this year from the Artisan Cheese Awards at Melton Mowbray. We won Gold and were highly commended for Helford Sunrise. Also picking up a Silver award for our Helford Camembert.
Artisan Cheese Awards
Great success at the Artisan Cheese Awards in Melton Mowbray winning Bronze for Helford White, Silver for Helford Sunrise and a Highly Commended Gold Award for Helford Camembert. Fingers crossed for The British Cheese Awards next weekend!
Upcoming events in 2018
We are again attending the Porthleven (three day) Food Festival on the 20th-22nd April, hopefully it will be a roaring success like last year!
We will be taking our Cornish cheese across the Channel to new pastures in Douaranenez, Brittany, on the 26th to the 28th October. We are also excited to announce that we have been selected as a guest cheese at this years Wimbledon tennis tournament, hopefully we can keep the Wombles away!
Markets and Fayres during 2017
2017 was a fantastic year for markets and we were delighted to have been included in the following markets towards the end of 2017.

Helston Christmas Farmers Markets: 2nd, 16th and 23rd December
St. Keverne Farmers Market: 22nd December
We were also honoured with a visit from Prince Charles and Camilla at a marquee in Porthleven on 19th July. They tasted Helford White and Helford Camembert, and they liked them both!
World Cheese Awards
We are delighted to say that we received Gold for Helford Blue & Bronze for Helford White in the 2017 World Cheese awards in November.

Melton Mowbray Artisan Cheese Fayre
Tamsin & I had a busy weekend at the fayre after a long drive.But it was worth it.Around 70 artisan cheese producers were present.The customers were all cheese enthusiasts & it was very refreshing to engage with them all.Saturday night included an evening meal provided by the organisers. The meal was obviously a pie!!
